About the original Planes of the Head mannequin head
The designer of Planes of the Head was raised in Southern California where he attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He also attended the Art Students League in New York City. The designer left a twelve-year career in commercial art to become a fine artist. He later taught figurative painting at Art Center College of Design where he developed the concept of Planes of the Head. He no longer teaches, choosing instead to concentrate on painting full time. He holds an honorary doctorate from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. The Planes of the Head mannequin head has been available since 1976. This knowledge of the head is only a start.
